
Audience
The course is designed for workers, operators, installers, tradesmen, operations staff, cleaners, apprentices and employees who will use personal lifts in their daily work. It is suitable for both the private and public sectors and is relevant in construction, industry, real estate operations, logistics, cleaning, technical operations and all enterprises that carry out work at height. The course covers the theoretical part of documented safety training according to regulations on the performance of work § 10-2 and § 10-4, and shall be supplemented by practical and equipment-specific training in the business.
Learning objectives
The course provides a thorough and prescription-based introduction to the safe and effective use of personal lifters. Participants learn how regulations, risk assessment and technical safety features influence the selection, setup and maneuvering of different types of people lifters. The course builds understanding of causes of accidents, provides practical methods of prevention, and trains participants in systematic control, safe work execution, communication, fall prevention and preparedness.

Important to note
This course covers the theoretical part of documented safety training in the use of personal lifts. Regulations on the performance of work additionally require the employer to provide practical and equipment-specific training. This means that the participant must receive practical training in setting up, maneuvering, emergency stopping, emergency descent, fall protection and safe use of the appropriate lift type and class used in the business. The practical training should be led by a qualified instructor or trustee, and skills should be assessed and approved before work is carried out independently. All training must be documented in writing. The course does not cover certified training beyond the requirements of documented safety training, and the business itself must ensure that all technical, organizational and local conditions are taken care of for full and proper training.

If you choose not to attend courses and only want to take the exam, the exam and certificate must be paid separately. The payment is made directly to the PECB.
