The course is aimed at managers, consultants, advisors, IT management teams and others who are responsible for or contribute to IT governance in organizations. It is suitable for those who want in-depth knowledge of IT governance, and for those who will evaluate, manage and monitor their organization's IT use in line with international standards. The course is relevant for members of IT management, consulting, compliance, CIO teams, or those in charge of IT strategy, risk management and governance structure.
Learning objectives
Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the core principles of ISO/IEC 38500, governance for IT. The course provides insight into the framework and model of good IT governance, in particular the Evaluate-Direct-Monitor model. Participants learn how to evaluate, manage and monitor the use of IT in an organization. They also learn about managing risk, resource allocation, strategic alignment between IT and business, and how to ensure compliance and proper management of IT investments. In addition, they gain familiarity with related frameworks such as COBIT 5 and CGEIT.
