Learn the assembly and use of scaffolding up to 9 meters.

Audience
The course is designed for workers, fitters, craftsmen, apprentices and hired workers who will use, build, modify or control scaffolding with working height between 2 and 9 meters. It is relevant for both the private and public sectors and covers the theoretical part of the requirement for documented training under the Regulations on the Performance of Work Section 17 5. The course is suitable for anyone who is going to carry out work at height and needs safe and regulatory expertise before practical training is carried out in the business.
Learning objectives
The course provides participants with theoretical training in the safe assembly, modification, use and control of scaffolding up to 9 meters. It provides insight into regulations, roles and responsibilities, risk assessment, different types of standstill and basic principles of stability and anchoring. Participants also learn about control procedures, safe driving, personal fall protection and documentation requirements. The course prepares participants for practical training under the guidance of qualified person.

Important to note
This course covers the theoretical part of training for scaffolding work from 2 to 9 meters. In order for the training to be complete, the company must additionally carry out practical training in which the participant trains on the assembly, alteration and disassembly of scaffolding under realistic conditions. The practical training should be led by a qualified instructor or trustee, and skills must be assessed and approved before work is carried out independently. The employer is responsible for ensuring that the training is adapted to the company's scaffolding systems, working methods and risk conditions, and that all training is documented. The course does not cover scaffolding over 9 meters, and such works require extended training according to current requirements.
