Audience
The course is suitable for people who want a basic understanding of business continuity management in an organisation. These can be managers, consultants, risk management or operations personnel, internal auditors, emergency managers, or others who are involved in continuity planning and want to learn what a continuity management system entails. The course is also relevant for those who want to help ensure that the organization is resilient against disruptions, or who want to build a foundation for further work with continuity management.

Learning objectives
Participants will acquire a basic understanding of the concepts and principles of a Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) in line with the ISO 22301 standard. They learn about the structure and requirements of the standard, including overall continuity policy, leadership and commitment, governance, operations, internal audit, management review, and continuous improvement. Furthermore, they learn what elements are included in planning and operating continuity, risk assessment, and what is required to ensure an organization can continue operations and restore critical functions after events.
