The course is suitable for people involved in data protection and information security, those who want to learn basic privacy principles, as well as those who want expertise to contribute to GDPR compliance in organization. It is suitable for employees in IT, compliance, HR, project management, consultants or others who will work with the processing of personal data, or who are considering a career in the field of privacy/data protection.
Learning objectives
Participants will gain fundamental knowledge of the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and basic privacy principles. They must understand roles, obligations and responsibilities, including the role of a Data Protection Officer (DPO). They will learn methods and approaches to be able to contribute to the implementation and management of a privacy or compliance framework in the organization.
After completing the course you will be able to
- Explain the basic principles and requirements of the GDPR and understand the main features of the privacy regime
- Understand the role and responsibilities of a Data Protection Ombudsper/Data Protection Officer
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of measures for the processing of personal data in accordance with GDPR
- Understand the framework, methods and techniques for establishing a data protection compliance structure
- Participate in the maintenance and compliance of privacy in the organization
