The course is suitable for people involved in data protection and information security, those who want to learn basic privacy principles, as well as those who want expertise to contribute to GDPR compliance in organization. It is suitable for employees in IT, compliance, HR, project management, consultants or others who will work with the processing of personal data, or who are considering a career in the field of privacy/data protection.
Learning objectives
Participants will gain fundamental knowledge of the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and basic privacy principles. They must understand roles, obligations and responsibilities, including the role of a Data Protection Officer (DPO). They will learn methods and approaches to be able to contribute to the implementation and management of a privacy or compliance framework in the organization.

PECB courses are conducted in PECB's own learning portal, with presentations, materials for self-study as well as video where available. After payment, you sign up for the course, and receive an email from PECB with registration link, normally within 24 hours of booking.
The price for courses (self-study and e-learning) includes one year of access. During this period, the examination, one new exam if necessary, as well as the issuance of a certificate are included.
If you choose not to attend courses and only want to take the exam, the exam and certificate must be paid separately. The payment is made directly to the PECB.
