Audience
The course is aimed at employees and managers in both the private and public sectors who do not have a technical background, but who nevertheless have responsibility for or work with information, computer systems and digital work tools. It is suitable for anyone who wants an understandable and practical introduction to information security.
Learning objectives
The course provides you with a basic understanding of what information security is, why it is important, and how to make smart and safe choices in everyday life. You will learn how digital and physical secrets are protected, what threats and vulnerabilities exist, and how various security measures work. The course also covers the principles of confidentiality, integrity and accessibility, and shows how you can use a risk-based approach to choosing the right actions.

PECB courses are conducted in PECB's own learning portal, with presentations, materials for self-study as well as video where available. After payment, you sign up for the course, and receive an email from PECB with registration link, normally within 24 hours of booking.
The price for courses (self-study and e-learning) includes one year of access. During this period, the examination, one new exam if necessary, as well as the issuance of a certificate are included.
If you choose not to attend courses and only want to take the exam, the exam and certificate must be paid separately. The payment is made directly to the PECB.
