Audience
The course is designed for anyone who uses digital services in their daily lives and wants a better understanding of how personal data is handled. It is suitable for private and public sector employees, students and others who want to strengthen their digital judgment without having a technical background. The course is also suitable as basic privacy training for businesses that will provide employees with increased awareness of the responsible use of data in meeting with customers, users and colleagues.
Learning objectives
The course provides participants with a safe and practical introduction to what privacy is, how it differs from information security and why this is important in digital everyday life. Through brief explanations and practical examples from mobile usage, e-commerce, social media and other digital services, it becomes clear how information is collected, used and protected. Participants learn to recognize situations in which data is recorded, understand their own rights and receive concrete advice on how to make better choices, use good settings and deal with adverse events online.

PECB courses are conducted in PECB's own learning portal, with presentations, materials for self-study as well as video where available. After payment, you sign up for the course, and receive an email from PECB with registration link, normally within 24 hours of booking.
The price for courses (self-study and e-learning) includes one year of access. During this period, the examination, one new exam if necessary, as well as the issuance of a certificate are included.
If you choose not to attend courses and only want to take the exam, the exam and certificate must be paid separately. The payment is made directly to the PECB.
