The course is suitable for employees who work closely with colleagues in a modern work environment, where meetings, chat, email and video meetings are used in daily life. It is relevant for office workers, professionals, team leaders and middle managers who want to strengthen interaction, prevent misunderstandings and contribute to a good working environment. The course is suitable for both new and experienced employees who want to become aware of their own communication style and become more confident in dialogue, feedback and conflict situations.

Learning objectives
The course provides participants with a practical and down-to-earth introduction to good communication in the workplace. You will learn to recognize common communication traps, analyze your own habits and use active listening, two-way communication and constructive feedback in everyday life. Furthermore, you will learn to choose the right channels for different messages and deal with misunderstandings and conflicts in a calm and structured way so that teamwork is safer and more effective.

After completing the course you will be able to

  • Explain basic principles for clear and respectful communication in the workplace.
  • Recognize common communication traps, noise and barriers that create misunderstandings.
  • Analyze your own communication habits and use simple tools such as logs and checklists for improvement.
  • Use active listening with retelling, mirroring, follow-up questions and affirmative body language.
  • Give and receive constructive feedback in a structured, concrete and respectful way both one-to-one and in groups.
  • Consider when you should use meeting, chat, email, phone or video meeting and customize your message to the selected channel.
  • Follow simple guidelines for digital communication such as clear language, camera use, and interrupt handling.
  • Detect and clear up misunderstandings through fact-checking, inviting dialogue and clarifying expectations.
  • Apply a stepwise model to manage conflicts with a focus on cause, emotion, and common solutions.
  • Contribute to a more safe, inclusive and solution-oriented work environment through conscious communication in everyday life.
