Life-saving first aid for professional drivers in traffic.

Audience
The course is aimed at professional drivers in transport, logistics and goods delivery who, in their work, can be first on site in case of accidents or emergency incidents. It is suitable for truck, bus, taxi and van drivers, as well as others who travel a lot in traffic and are responsible for their own and others' safety. The course is also relevant for work managers and HSE managers who want basic first aid skills adapted to the transport sector.
Learning objectives

They will learn to assess their own safety, recognize life-threatening conditions, correctly notify emergency services and perform life-saving first aid. The course provides insight into the chain of survival, the ABC method, cardiac and pulmonary resuscitation, the use of heart starters, the management of accidents, fire, chemicals, acute injuries and critical illnesses, as well as basic psychological first aid.
After completing the course you will be able to
This e-learning course covers the theoretical and digital part of first aid training for professional drivers. The course does not replace practical training with an instructor.
In order for the training to be complete, the company or the participant himself must provide practical exercises in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the use of a heart starter and the handling of realistic accident situations.
Training should also be adapted to the company's own vehicles, equipment and routines, as well as local contingency plans and HSE systems. Regular repetition and practice are necessary to maintain skills and confidence in real emergencies.
