Roadworks Safety Course 1
Learn the basics of soadworks safety and safe driving in a busy area.
Audience
The course is aimed at workers, apprentices and employees who will carry out work on or near the road, including inspection, inspection, inspection, inspection and other work where there is traffic or soft road users outside the safety zone. It is suitable for anyone who needs basic documented training in work notification before work is started on a national, county or municipal road.
Learning objectives
The course provides participants with theoretical training covering the basic requirements of directing, alerting and regulating traffic when working on or by road. The participant gains insight into relevant legislation, personal safety, division of responsibilities, security and accessibility, and is prepared to work safely and in accordance with regulations and norms.
After completing the course, you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose and requirements of work notification when working on or on the road
- Know the division of responsibilities between employee and employer in notification and assurance
- Identify risks associated with working on or near a busy road
- Choosing and using the correct warning and security measures to ensure road safety and accessibility
- Properly use personal protective equipment and understand requirements for safe behavior
- Carry out the necessary documentation and logging in connection with notification measures
- Encourage work on or near roads to be carried out in accordance with applicable handbooks and processes

PECB courses are conducted in PECB's own learning portal, with presentations, materials for self-study as well as video where available. After payment, you sign up for the course, and receive an email from PECB with registration link, normally within 24 hours of booking.
The price for courses (self-study and e-learning) includes one year of access. During this period, the examination, one new exam if necessary, as well as the issuance of a certificate are included.
If you choose not to attend courses and only want to take the exam, the exam and certificate must be paid separately. The payment is made directly to the PECB.
