As the country's largest building and construction training provider, Granlund has set itself the goal of being a leader also digitally, partnering with Compend to deliver a wide range of its training activities directly to Compend's customers.
Granlund Competence Center has the most courses in construction and construction in Norway, and the country's best practice area with machines and equipment for all machine classes at Dal, near Gardermoen. A significant proportion of courses to this sector involve physical classroom teaching and documented practice, but more and more of the skills needs are now conducted digitally.
- Compend enables us to offer and conduct courses with an even better customer experience, says Maria Granlund of the Granlund Competence Centre.
- Their solution, where you easily set up roles with related competency requirements, makes it even easier to know that employees have all the necessary courses. The fact that completed courses are automatically stored on the employees' resumes simplifies competence work for our clients, says Maria, adding that Compend's other solution functionality will improve customers' everyday lives even outside the area of expertise.
The collaboration means that a wide variety of Granlund's courses, both digital and physical, will be available to Compend's clients. Digital courses can be conducted directly in Compend, while courses with physical education or practice are conducted at Granlund's practice area at Dal, centrally located at Oslo Airport.
“We are very happy about the collaboration with Granlund,” says Audun Andreassen of Compend.
- With Granlund's course selection, expertise and long experience, Compend will be a complete course provider to the Norwegian construction and construction industry, as well as several adjacent industries. Our competence tool simplifies the work of companies in documenting their employees' competencies, as well as automates the continuous updating and further development of these competencies. This underpins our goal to strengthen Norwegian companies, increase competitiveness and help our customers win more assignments,” says Audun.
Granlund's courses and competence activities will be continuously published on Compend's website.

But the skills pledge is urgent.

A role-based training matrix provides an overview of competency requirements per role and makes training easier to manage and document.

Compulsory training does not have to be either long courses or short learning sessions.
